Before You Book
The questions traveling moms actually ask.
What if I don't live near the practice?
That's exactly who this is built for. Your candidacy check and first consult happen over video from home — no flight needed just to find out where you stand. If you move forward, surgery, your recovery stay and local transport are arranged as one all-inclusive package around your travel.
How long do I actually need to stay?
It depends on your specific plan and how your recovery is progressing, and is confirmed at your virtual consultation — typically long enough for your surgeon to clear you for travel before you fly home. Timelines are typical ranges, never a guarantee.
Do I need someone to travel with me?
It's discussed candidly at your virtual consultation based on your plan and support back home. Many moms travel independently since the recovery-stay and local transport are coordinated for you; others prefer a companion — either way, it's planned in advance, not improvised.
Who'll take care of my kids while I'm away?
This is the question most traveling moms lead with, and it's planned before your date, not after. We help you map out who's on the house and school run while you're gone, so you're not figuring it out the week you leave.
What if I need a follow-up after I fly home?
Follow-up care is discussed at your virtual consultation and built into your plan — some follow-ups happen by video once you're home, and any in-person needs are coordinated with your surgeon's team in advance.
Can't I just fix the belly pouch with more core work?
Often not. A pouch that survives diet and exercise is frequently diastasis — separated abdominal muscle — which planks and crunches physically cannot knit back together. A tummy tuck repairs the muscle itself, wherever you have it done.
I had a C-section. Does that change anything?
Often for the better. Where possible the existing caesarean scar can be worked with — incorporated into the tummy-tuck incision rather than added to. It's reviewed openly at your virtual consultation so nothing about your history is a surprise on the day.
Will it last if I have another baby?
A future pregnancy can undo the result, which is exactly why timing is part of the plan. If you may have more children, the honest recommendation is usually to wait — and you'll hear that plainly before any travel is ever discussed.
Is it safe, and how much recovery are we really talking about?
It's real surgery, with real anesthesia, a real recovery and real risks — done by a board-certified surgeon in a fully accredited facility, wherever you traveled from. The restricted stretch is roughly the first two weeks, with a gradual return over about six; timelines are typical ranges and individual, never guaranteed.
What will it cost, including the travel?
FORGE states it plainly: all-inclusive, from $6,499, about $142/month* — and if you're flying in, your recovery stay and local transport are built into that same number, not added afterward. Your exact plan and final pricing are confirmed at your free virtual consultation.
